Started Skyrim today, made a female high elf called Arya (like from Eragon), and played for about 2 hours. My computer’s graphics card isn’t really good enough so I had to play on the lowest setting and it still lags in the larger maps like the main Skyrim map. This is the point where I wish I had a better computer.
The game itself is pretty awesome I think, if you played on the higher settings and had a larger screen. There is a lot of freedom, you can follow the story line or you can go off and explore. I also got lost in one of the villages. You can do a bunch of random things, like pick locks to doors, steal things, read books… And the whole Skyrim world is obsessed with this dragon thing. Just like in Eragon! Except in Eragon dragons were allies and here they are the enemy.
This is Arya from behind. I can’t get the screenshots to work because I’m playing a cracked version and there is no Steam folder. And I’m also using bootcamp. I can play for about 5 minutes before the GPU starts heating up and lagging. That’s not fun at all.
Anyways I think I’ll go back to playing League of Legends for now.
Don’t want to study bio, so I’m going to talk about some FPS games that I’ve played.
This isn’t my screenshot. I played this like 10 years ago. It was one of the few games I could play on the computer (we had a mac). I only played the offline version (with the bots), but it was still fun. This laser gun in the picture was my favourite.
Again not my screenshot. I played this ages ago. I think 2 computers ago. I believe my character name was iki0o. Its not really a FPS, more like a third person shooter, but close enough. And in this game you can do cool stunts like run up walls and dash and do rolls/tumbles and slash walls and “butterfly” (changing from sword -> gun & dashing around really fast) other cool stuff. I remember mashing the wasd buttons. It was fun.
Modern Warfare 2
Again not my screenshot. I played this around 2 years ago. But I didn’t have an account so I only played the campaign, but I did try the online multiplayer once or twice on my friend’s computer. I also played the Modern Warfare 1 and 3 after this. Oh I have played the COD4 multiplayer through LAN a few times. The MW games have really good graphics, and whenever I play my computer always heats up. I’m not really a heavy gamer, or else I would have gotten a gaming computer, but I don’t really revolve my life around gaming so I’m fine with it.
Other FPSs I can think of that I’ve tried are Counter Strike and House of the Dead. I played those on LAN too. Awesome LAN shops in Hong Kong 😀 Can’t say the same for Canada..
FPS games aren’t really for me because I have slow reaction and bad hand-eye coordination and they are more intense. I did like playing Gunz though, because it has cool stunts 😀 But like I said, I’m not really a heavy gamer. I prefer watching tv shows and movies 😛
Before L.O.L I played a few RPG games. My IGN for both games was Kandie.
This was like ages and ages ago. I only found one screenshot. I was a fire mage thing. I was like level 87 I think? I got bored of it so I stopped. I remember not many of my friends played this so I got bored quickly. I started because my brother was playing it, but we couldn’t play it at the same time because we only had one computer. And he spent most of his time playing DotA. Infact, he still does.
This was one of the few screenshots I found. I had a lot of fun on RO. I remember coming home everyday to play. It was much more fun because I had friends to play with. But it also ate up a lot of my time. We did the most random things. In this screenshot we made a lvl99 poring, by repeatedly letting it kill us. Porings are like the lowest level monster in the entire game, so I think it was an accomplishment.
This was my main character. I was a high priest. I met a bunch of great people. And the headgears! Me and my friends were kind of obsessed with the head gears. We would do all these crazy quests to get all the different ones. My favourite is definitely the ribbons. I kind of miss the times in RO. But I know even if I start playing again now, it won’t be the same without my awesome friends.
RPGS are a lot of fun, especially with the right bunch of people to play with. I don’t play them anymore because they require a commitment, and I don’t really want to ruin my school grades because of games. League of Legends is perfect because games are around 45minutes long and after that you can quit and do something else. I don’t think I’ll go back to RPGs unless I seriously have a tonne of free time.
[Left to right] – Annie, Akali, Morgana, Shyvana
I’ve been playing League of Legends on and off since about the start of 2011. My favourite characters are shown in the picture above. They are all female characters because I’m a tad sexist and I only want to play girls since I’m a girl 😛
The girl-bear-child. Annie was my first character in L.O.L., and she is my most dependable character. If I know I’m playing against good players and I don’t want to embarrass myself too much, I will almost always choose Annie. She has great offensive spells, very powerful, and even a stun which is tremendously useful. When initiating a one-on-one, I try to make sure that their health is low enough that I can kill them in one shot (three spells), because once I spam all the spells I can’t do anything and once the enemy attacks theres almost no chance of survival. Favourite part: the bear called Tibbers that she can summon.
The girl ninja. Akali is just super cool and I just want to hear those ching-ching sounds when fighting. I’m not an expert at her yet, but she is really good at chasing down enemies. And I love how she runs with her arms trailing behind her, like in animes 😛
Evil half naked devil lady. Morgana is cool too, she has that cool cage thing and a cool shield that she can cast, and I normally do ok with her. But I feel that Morgana is more of a team player, cant do much on her own but useful in a team. Her offensive spell isn’t too powerful, so its challenging to kill enemies without a team. I might be wrong. I haven’t played her for a while because I don’t like having to aim my spells.
Fire dragon lady. How can anyone not like this fire lady that turns into this massive dragon that breathes fire and burns the ground around it. I bought this without having tried her out, and she turns out to be ok. I don’t think shes massively powerful or anything, just a bunch of offensive spells. And lots of fire.
I really haven’t played League of Legends for a while now. I told myself to quit it for a few weeks to give myself some time to study for finals. And look how that worked out. I have come to the conclusion that if I can’t do one thing to waste my time, I’ll find something else. It comes down to the fact that I’m talented at wasting time.
